Well i have had some shite and some shit! Lets start with a grey import Dodge Caravan people carrier, wonderful car, roly poly suspension, squidgy seats, column shift auto, very practical, could almost close my eyes and pretend it was a Renault 16TX! The kids loved it and called it the Mystery Machine. Hard to believe it was the worlds first people carrier. Death by cambelt was it's fate though. Replaced by a 400.000 mile tourneo, described in the serious transit neglect post. Obviously that was going to be hard to top so a cheap 12 seater petrol transit petrol minibus was the only way forward especially with the social services livery left on the side! Unfortunatley 14mpg was too much for the Claim family budget so it had to go. Switching sides was now called for and I fancied a bit of retro Anglo French engineering so an ex Royal Mail Ldv Sherpa was a must buy. Sadly this amazing shite spontainously combusted when the wiring loom decided to call it a day which was a shame because it was capable of some tremendous speed when it was running, even showing a clean pair of heels to an MGBGT on a twisty road. Mind you they were similar vehicles...
