Yes, but it's thinking like this that won us the war!!!

Hmm, I'm in the process of sticking a C20SEH into my Astra Sport to replace the troublesome C18XEL currently sitting in it. A bland conversion compared to some it would seem.

I have seen Rover V8s shoved into both a Sierra 1.8L estate and a Volvo 265 estate. Which doesn't strike me as being an entirely rational thing to do in either case.I'm fairly sure I read about a Fiesta of some sort with a 2 litre Pinto lobbed in and driving the front wheels, christ only knows how the hell that managed to happen. Plus the headcase who nicked the lump out of a mk5 Escort RS2000 and shoved that into another Fiesta - which is a f*cking stupid idea given how heavy and difficult to tune that lump is

IIRC it's a pretty unusual engine fitted into the mk5 RS2000. I'm almost sure it's not a Zetec unit.

My mates just stuck a meistro turbo diesel into a Volvo amazon , runs great , volvo lump was knackered anyway , still RWD , great home conversion IMHO.

Hes just called me to say theres an article on this in Novembers Classics monthy and they want him to take it to the NEC soon for a show , sounds like they are quite impressed

Not really that convinced, could he not have put a decent diesel engine in there like an XUD? He could have made one fit with an LDV Pilot bell housing?

The best one I heard of was a Robin Reliant with a V6 Essex wedged in to it!

Probably right he could have fitted better , did this as he has a meistro diesel OTR bought for £ 50 and two spare lumps kicking about as well , was going to scrap the Meistro but used one of the spare ones instead , much cheapness , loads of spare bits , quids in i recon

Primas are great and, being old school, you can choon them up for extra smoke and punch.
