Ok, so the Allergy had 5 gears too, but the gearbox that Lotus stuck in the Eclat and the Elite in the 70s used the Maxi internals!

I'd like to know how the boy helping his dad change the wheel was using the wheelbrace to drop the spare tray at the same time as dad was using it on the jack.... I love stuff like this, particularly the factory build shots. Great to see how they went together on the line. eg. the engine wasn't dropped on to its mounts but on to a pad on the crossmember and then manually pulled too and fro to get it on the mounts.
