Washing machine, freezer, old clothes and bikes, ironing board, couple of TVs and a VCR.. same as most houses with attached garages I would think!

So anyway, I did go to London today, just Notting Hill though. Some proper good cars round there, but ill bore you with the update later this week.Simon M, when I was on the bus this morning (Rail replacement) I saw the Maxi! And a hideous convertible XJ6 S1 near the station. Also, the bus went down a brilliant street full of shite! I may get pictures this week..... stay tuned.

Posted

Actually heres one car I saw today, anyone have any ideas? Im stumped.

So as promised, here are the local pics I took today.

Posted Image

Old accord, pretty battered, apparently its meant to be Beige. Shame, as it would be a million times better then.

Posted Image

Where did these all go? I swear they all just vanished. Export?

Posted Image

Wow, never seen anything like this before! Is it a well known custom?

Apologies for the pictures all being rear shots now, It was frustrating because I couldnt get it any other way.

Posted Image

796cc of power. Bet these would be top first cars.

Posted Image

Late two tone MKIV XR3i. Was the paint an indication of the end of that Escorts life? They look really smart in it.

Posted Image

Shame, I love these cars. Aggressive looking.

Posted Image

First Samba I have seen in ages, looks pretty dead.

And of course, finally, the Maxi.

Posted Image

It was parked the other way round on Sunday, lame. I would have got a front shot, but its parked on a busy looking farm. One day perhaps.

Anyone want to see the London shots from the other day?

Posted

Crikey, that custom Jag is errr... not as great as the Maxi!

Yes please :D I reckon that Jag was a proper conversion. I bet there was more than one. Just looks a bit familiar that's all.
Posted

Heres the lot from the other day, not that great but hey ho.

As the bus pulled into brookwood station I saw this out of the corner of my eye:

Posted Image

Posted Image

I always liked these, alot. Bit 'new' though.

Posted Image

Parked waaaaaaaaaaaay too close to the car in front. LOL@ Police Prius.

Posted Image

Made me puke.

Posted Image

Lush.

Posted Image

To be perfectly honest, if I had bought a car 15-20 years ago and it turned out pink in random areas, Id be pissed.

Posted Image

Common as muck in London.

Posted Image

But these are alot nicer.

Posted Image

Late one.

Posted Image

Nice colours.

Posted Image

Ridiculous plate on odd choice of car #1

Posted Image

Another old accord. Typical.

Posted Image

One of the last Lancias ever sold in the UK.

Posted Image

Spot of the day without a doubt.

Posted Image

Mega old Mini.

Posted Image

Ridiculous plate on odd car of choice #2. These Carinas even had dents in the same place.

Posted Image

Okay so its just a Minor, but by god it was original, and not shiny.

Posted Image

Cant imagine this is good on the fuel.

Posted Image

Does anyone else see a hint of Metrocab in these?

Posted Image

Ace!

Posted Image

And a fine way to end the day. I actually saw the oldest taxi I have seen in service this year, an F reg Metrocab.

Posted

Good updates! SUE 666 reminded me of this Maltese Accord:

good work as usual sir. I love the little Alto, considering one of those for my first motor. Also, that 600 is amazing, looks just right, and the big oil cooler probably means its a fast one and not just dressed up, Nice that they haven't stuck Abarth badges all over it too.

Posted

awesome brammy, i used to live on farnbough high street as you go into cove 8)8)8)

Posted

Well today I went to Blackwater and Camberley so managed some spots.

Posted Image

Have a nice OVLOV estate. Still prefer the saloons though.

Posted Image

Now this was in the RAF base near me, been meaning to get a picture for a while now.

Posted Image

Nice little thing.

Posted Image

Peek a boo. This is actually a base model, nice to see someone cares about it.

Posted Image

I doubt this will ever move again.

Posted Image

Told you there was a lot of sierras round here. Had to be sly, as you can tell.

Posted Image

A bizzare sight on a council estate.

Posted Image

This was MASSIVE. 10.5 litre engine too!

Posted Image

Havent seen one this clean for a long time.

Posted Image

Dont let yours get like this DW!

Posted Image

Scabby herald, I doubt this is ratlook as it was on an OAP estate.

Posted Image

Seriously clean OAP (I reckon) owned Scirocco.

I missed another Sierra, a MKII Astra towing a Berlingo Van (!) and most annoyingly, a 1980 Prelude which Ive mentioned before on here. It was waiting at some lights and the second I caught up with it and was just about to picture it, the lights changed. Fuck sake.

Dunno, OAP wouldn't have Minilites on it. Probably rat look or rolling restoration I'd have thought. Would look nice on four minilites though, lowered just a touch (is it already?) with a nice white paintjob.

Excellent spotz btw, Scirocco looks lovely!

Posted

I was going to say the same about that Herald, Few quids worth of wheels on it.And that's some serious lacquer flake on the bonnet of that BX, It looks like it's had bad sunburn!.Great spots btw!

Posted

It could be a rolling resto, the interior was pretty stripped too.I forgot to mention, but the Marina on the first page of this thread has now disappeared. Still comes up on the DVLA so maybe changed hands......?

Right here is the 25 odd pictures from the last 11 days, some from Basingstoke some from London. Its a big update so 5 at a time.

Posted Image

Ive seen this one around before, it parked up last week so I was glad to get it finally. Seems really really clean.

Posted Image

Made in 1958, what could this be?

Posted Image

I do quite like these, alot of the little styling touches on them are quite pleasing.Mouldy.

Posted Image

This is weird. SORN declared, but on the road, and the tax disc said 31/11/05.

Posted Image

Been spotted before by seth and EL, nice to see it still around. Lovely car.

Posted

Posted Image

Sorry about the crap picture, I dont have any excuses for that! Have a rear shot as well though, note the double badges.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Nice little spitfire, d'oh at the thumb visible.

Posted Image

I do see alot of American SUVs around here, never one of these though.

Posted Image

V6 XM, these have aged really well I reckon, such a gorgeous car.

Posted

Posted Image

These are fairly common around some parts of London, this is a nice colour though.

Posted Image

Battered Sierra, still alot around.

Posted Image

Weirdly clean 208D, havent seen one in Black for a long time.

Posted Image

Top of the range 19, looks really good. These are getting rarer by the day now.

Posted Image

Absolutely fantastic Consul spotted near Old Street station, one of my favourite spots.

Posted

Posted Image

928 near my college, same guy owns a 924 and a DB7.

Posted Image

Uber clean Escort. Suits the colour as well, without a doubt the best one Ive seen for ages.

Posted Image

Not as well kept one here, but the 3 door ones are getting less common.

Posted Image

Another one! Same carpark as the others as well, seems if you own a MKIV escort you shop at Morrisons.

Posted Image

I havent seen an Uno for ages. Really have taken a liking to them lately.

Posted

Posted Image

Id love to have seen the meeting where they decided to make campers on a Rascal chassis, but in all fairness they did sell well.

Posted Image

Subaru should make more like these. They are so stunning.

Posted Image

Tatty Capri, was a daily runner for a while round here but appears to be on SORN. Owner probably also owns that yellow MKIII Cortina I have pictured previously.

Posted Image

Super lucky with this shot, the flatbed it was on stopped outside my place of work so I quickly got this shot. Chuffed with that.

Posted Image

Dont see many diesel Blueys anymore.

Posted

Last one.

Posted Image

The shadow was not intentional. I thought with it getting brighter in the late afternoons now, it would be easier for pictures. Nope, the Sun is just bloody bright.

Posted Image

Hideously clean MKV. I barely see any of these ones anymore, this was clearly owned by someone with a mass of silver hair.

Posted Image

Never seen this one before. Looks to have been lowered a little bit possibly. But still very nice all the same.

Posted Image

Another late Capri, looked better than the other one. I think there is 4 of these in Basingstoke.

Posted Image

Owned by an oldish guy at my college. I did not expect to see this!

Thats all this time folks. Hope some of them are good.

Posted

Spot on 155! Have you ever seen that white Astramax around Fleet/Camberley area? I keep seeing it but I never get the chance to get a picture/

Posted

I hope that blue Cortina wasn't going anywhere nasty - mind you, DVLA say it's been off the road since 2000, so I'm not hopeful. Never seen anything as interesting as that in Odiham, despite living right next to it for nearly 30 years!

Posted

Ah, well I live and work on the high street, so anything interesting I will no doubt see.Sunnier months will bring around more interesting things, most of the gems are garaged this time of the year.Ah, I think you misread the plate on the cortina as a OUY, its actually OUV.On SORN :)

That Rascal has a Dundee registration! Imagine it rattling down the A1,London bound! :D
