Canon Powershot S3 IS for sale. Has a high-mileage (I reckon I've taken about 9000 photos on it...) but has been well cared for living in a proper carry case thing.

 

Boasts a handy 12x zoom, uses SD cards (only the standard 16MB included, but they're not expensive) and one great feature is that it uses 4xAA batteries, so replacements are easy to find if you run low on juice. Has video (in stereo) and lots of modes, including manual adjustable settings. GR8 4 panning!

 

Cost £280 new in Dec 2006 but I've now upgraded, so no longer need it. £60 anyone? Delivery at whatever it costs. I've no idea.

Thanks Scooter. Sold!And Tom - it's a bloomin' good camera really. I'm now up to 20x zoom though and a slightly wider angle at the other end of things. Very handy.

the doris is getting me a DSLR for Xmas - problem is that we trashed our Lumix last week so I am afgter a quality stop gap cheers DW - good cameras those Canons

My Powershot S3 lasted a few months until a street incident resulted it being brought it a grisly end..but awesum camera..so upgraded to a G10..even more awesum!..and will no longer photograph street fighting..

I still have my old S2 iS the version before yours dolly. It's a stunning camera even by today's standards.
