MrSteve's spots- small update on page 6

Thought I'd lob this lot up while waiting for dinner to cook...

First is this crusty Champ that's been sat in a front garden in Morecambe for years.

Posted Image

Industrial estate tour bagged this Sierra

Posted Image

Halford's car park had this Carina...

Posted Image

...which has a slightly careless owner.

Posted Image

These next 2 lovelies were spotted outside one of Lancaster University's halls of residence

Posted Image

Posted Image

Slightly shabby Micra. I still can't quite bring myself to liking these as the only time I have ever been in one it almost made me crap myself when the guy driving it thought it would be amusing to take the keys out of the ignition whilst driving along.

Posted Image

Kwol pair of Astras

Posted Image

As seen at Tatton- was thrilled to find this Suntor lives near me. Nice early CA on the drive too...and there's a hint of some bonus shite spottage hiding in the background too...

Posted Image

Oh yes...

Posted Image

And to finish, a scrapyard visit to get some more tyre valve caps revealed these few...

Had 'keep off' written on it, so hopefully this will see the road again

Posted Image

Viva- missing a wheel, but looked solid. Ish

Posted Image

Then I noticed a flash of gold through an open barn door.

Zoinks!!

Good spots again, keep it up!Seems to be a fair bit of tat round your way, what i find is, every day brings more i need to snap.

Finally been out with the camera recently, so here is a November update. First up, 3 spots from a Citroen Car Club gathering at a garage in Last of the Summer Wine country.

Citroen BX St Tropez

Posted Image

Minty Visa Special- nice and basic

Posted Image

And at the unit next door was this hooge Jag

Posted Image

Next up 3 local spots from yesterday in Grange over Sands and Kendal.

Robin estate- previously seen at the Grange classic car show- nice to see it is still out and about

Posted Image

Pug 309- looking good

Posted Image

Audi 80- haven't seen one of these in years

Posted Image

Been meaning to get a pic of this gorgeous Acty for ages- I pass it every so often on the way to work, and conveniently it lives by my local scrappie.

Posted Image

Up the road was this Saab 9000

Posted Image

And parked up in the yard was this Volvo 340GL

Posted Image

Finally, today I went on a trip up to Shap after spotting some potentially interesting rusting hulks in a field from the train last week.

Snapped this oil-burner Escort in Orton- used as storage it seems

Posted Image

Finally got to Shap, where it wasn't raining for a change. I was amazed with the stuff that is up there.

Crying out for a can of wheel silver is this nice unmolested Golf

Posted Image

Tucked away in the dry was this TR7

Posted Image

And now the abandoned ones...

Scrote returning to nature

Posted Image

I nearly wet myself when I glimpsed this lot round the back of the Co-op

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And to finish, the contents of the field seen from the train...

Posted Image

That lot brightened up a very dull day for me!

Posted

Cripes, excellent spots there! It pays to go back and inspect what you see when moving, thats for sure.

Posted

Wow! Great spots and finds!

That Mk2 Escort is unreal - is it 'advertising' a garage? They must feel a bit bitter knowing it'd be worth a couple of grand nowadays.

This

Posted Image

Reminds me of Wuvvum's. Is that a later grille added?

Posted

wow that escort mk2 :o:o:o

have to be this for me through

Posted Image

i can almost hear the specials playing now...

great spots 8)

Posted

Posted Image

This looks like it ran over a police stinger or something :? . still looks saveable though...

Posted

Wow! I'd love to have a yard full of rotting Talbots and Renaults! Surprised that the Escort hasn't been moved from the undergrowth though and flogged to some scened up Escrot lover.

Posted

Fantablious spots MrSteve - the garage full of tat looks like a real Aladdin's cave.I saw that Shap 'scrote on the way to our holiday spot back in August - I couldn't help wondering at the time if whoever allowed it to get in that state was starting to regret it :)The Renault 20 in the field doesn't look too bad actually (makes mental note to stop there next time we're on hols).

wheres that Viva mate? If its for sale I know a lad who would be very interested in buying that as he wants one as a project.

thanks

Viva- missing a wheel, but looked solid. Ish

That Viva is at B and J Greggs in Gatebeck near Kendal- it is still sat in the car park, so at least it hasn't yet made it in to the yard.

Someone's daily driver- looking good

Posted Image

Tasty Orion

Posted Image

This must be amongst the last of the proper Granadas?

Posted Image

Tidy Prelude

Posted Image

Spotted this Scorpio on Morecambe prom. I think someone was actually living in it.

Posted Image

Haven't seen one of these little tikes before.

Posted Image

Liking this shade of blue. Nice to see one that isn't maroon. Or silver. Or a Torslanda.

Posted Image

Another Granada- this one needs love.

Posted Image

German taxi

Posted Image

Almost missed this sporty heap behind the C5

Posted Image

Bit of a shed, but still going strong

Posted Image

Some lucky person is learning to drive in this Fester.

Posted Image

V. nice 309

Posted Image

Ginetta Q-reg thing

Posted Image

More rust-free motoring

Posted Image

Err, Corsa cabrio. New one on me.

Posted Image

Yet another unloved Ford- 2.8 with twin fart cannons

Posted Image

And to finish, my local fave out and about- stylish Suntor!

Posted Image

Posted

Nice one!Yeh the estates were called Granadas for some reason, does anyone know why? Corsa cabrios look about as stylish as their Rover 100 equivalent, like a skip with an umbrella stretched over it.

Posted

Sad to see an unloved Capri, especially the 2.8i version. Shame about those drainpipe exhausts too... :(

Quite a pov-spec Capri, therefore pleasing.
