Not music related, but It's rumoured that my old Black Capri 2.0 Ghia, COG 700V was once owned by Mickey Finn....................I always thought it was bollocks, as nobody would have a name so stupid..................It may have been true then!

If this turns into a 'What are you listening to thread' I'm going to fuck right off.Having said that I think like with my choice in cars that my musical taste is delayed by years, that new Brothers in Arms LP by Dire Straights is alright :oops::roll:

The other member of T-Rex was called Mickey Finn, and it was his real name. maybe he was the Capri owner.

Brothers in Arms on the Alba casette player through 1 speaker, blasting (ish) through the County Antrim countryside in my Talbot Samba 950cc. 1990.I've gone all teary eyed now...

my polo came with only one dash mounted speaker..

My Samba was an LE, so came with no stereo, no speakers and nowhere to put either. I got a "Sakura" under dash tray (£3) and a Sakura speaker (also £3) and whacked the whole lot on under the Samba dash with self tappers. Absence of spare circuits meant a direct-to-battery connection with an inline fuse, all running through the grommet in the bulkhead for the throttle cable. Oh for the days of no ECU or any of that bollocks.

Reminds me of the time that I 'valeted' (i.e wiped the dash) my old Polo that I bought for £150 and to celebrate the fine job I did of removing the crap/detritus from the dash mounted speaker I took it out for a spin only to have some arse drive straight into the back of it when I was in a traffic jam then a coach-load of students who I knew drove past with everyone gorping at me whilst three blokes tried to open a door so I could get out.Ah I'm all teary-eyed and red with spitting boiling rage now.
