Why do people have to put boards over the front of cars at these shows?, One of my pet hates as they spoil pictures, as so do cleaning gear everywhere and granny's with there legs open...

Now this was my find of the day, It was in the car park, It is totally mint, Looks like the type an old granny gets out the garage once a month, Looked like it had never seen a tin of filler or can of paint, Even down the the original dealer sticker again in the rear window, It's even only showing 2 owners on the ebay listing site. Perfect!.

Nice to see Top Gear haven't killed all the Marinas! :D Think that early coupe is in the infamous shade of 'Limeflower'.

Nice pic’s as ever Trigger. I went to a show at Stonham years and years ago, interesting that they still do it. I imagine it’d be a popular one with the East Anglian Practical Classics massive (who in fairness do seem to have a good number of our type of car).

Yes the EAPC did have a large following at the show, A lot of their members cars was there as well as the club stand which I've just signed up too for £6 for the remainder of the year  Don't know why really but i thought it might help me one day.Mind you they do seem pretty good and very friendly, I told them my car isn't mint or anything but they said that didn't matter, Some members brings cars to shows with gaffer taped arches!.

Must admit I’ve been tempted to join too, I’ll look into that later this year. Might be a handy way of finding out about friendly local specialists and garages.

That LHD Marina was at the BMC/BL day the other week too. It really is stunning, I too wonder what he story is - it has a Birmingham number similar to some the press cars had too. It's funny. Seeing one "as new" like that prompted us to question whether they really were all that bad. In comparison with everything else similar on offer in 1979 there wouldn't be much in it I reckon.
