A weird vehicle insurance on its VIN question

Recommended Posts

Anyones managed to get insurance for an non UK reg vehicle (ie imported) on it's VIN number?   Which company did you use?

Footman James insured the ex hairnet Visa on the VIN when I bought it, although did insist it was only temporary for 28 days until it was UK registered. Not that they ever followed up on that mind.

Yep, give Hagerty a call. They insured me a foreign car on the VIN number with no restrictions on timeframes to register.

think hagerty did ours...wasnt much of an issue as long as you sort it out asap

I drove a van back from Belgium insured on the vin , it was new , I had the option of paying £100 for belgian plates or (apparently) it would have been legal to drive it from hull to home with no plates at all  but I just saw every copper between hull and home spitting their tea out as I drove past

Arian Flux quote on a vin
