Big shite I’ve drained the automatic gearbox oil by mistake on a daihutsui charade

Well today I decided to drain a bit of engine oil out as I overfilled the car last week and was in a bit hurry and drained the wrong sump on the daihatsui and now it needs some more automatic transmission fluid

I wondered is two litres enough as I might of just drained the wrong sump last week lol and about a litre and a half came out.

In my defence it was dark when I was doing the oil change or should I say automatic transmission fluid change but I’ve got to say that

So I’ve ordered Dextron 3 so should that be ok and is it ok just to get a funnel and pour it in here.post-9282-0-63121900-1550923179_thumb.jpeg

You utter pillock  :-D

I once filled an Astra gearbox right up to the top...( the Haynes manual  wasn't to clear about which was the filler level plug)

I had no gears at all , i couldn't move the gear lever once the engine was running.

Thanks very much you’re a saviour I’ve gone for two litres as I think I took about 1.7 out in total.

I just hope I haven’t damaged the gearbox as the other half has been driving about in it this week and I will need to make an excuse up for the reason I’ve bollocked the gearbox lol.

To be fair, the fluid probably needed changing anyway....!

Well it looks like I got away with it as the gearbox is changing gear perfect again but I have a nice slippery drive now as my E36 had trouble getting on the drive and had a few good wheel spins getting it back on.

As red said I managed to lose a fair bit.

In mathematical terms how much fluid is this amount I’m hoping it’s 0.3 of a litre lol.post-9282-0-05284700-1550941045_thumb.jpeg
