Focus misfire ..

Fuel filter is a 5 minute job on those. Doubt it’ll be the in tank filter, its a plastic tank, there’s not usually any shit in there. The internal 12v pump burns out but it usually gives you a heads up by blowing the fuse.

Certainly wasn't on the (7 year old/65k miles) car I did. Fuel pipes seemingly welded on to each end of the filter, and rusted clamp bolt.

I still have a offside  inner tie rod joint to have done and the windscreen ..

It has just flown like a kicked stone .. Put some injector cleaner in yesterday ... Along with a plug lead tidy and spray ... And i hardly touch the go peddle and it just goes !!! .... I have noted the screen washer was also leaking onto the no 1 lead area .. Thats also fixed .. See if this holds up

You've done well on the prices! Exhaust must have been around £40-50 on its own.

the downpipe with flexi  was 64 notes ,,,,

I was quoted 3 to 4 hours work @ 50 squid an hour , plus parts , plus vat by a garage for the downpipe replacement .....

err no ... google    and did it my self in an hour !

The leak into sparkplugs is pretty well known. Hopefully fixing that means it be good for a while

The leak into the plugs is the Mk2. Either the washer jets or the core plugs are the usual culprits.

the top part of the washer jet had a angled piece of plastic pipe that popped onto the underside , it was loose and leaking ...

replaced with rubber pipe

the problem re emerged last week on very rare occasions , when the engine had been running for an hour or more ...

and it threw up the eml twice about the cat not working

took out the air box and wiggled the wire to the coil pack ... no changes to the running engine ...so that wire was ok

put air box back  , confused ???

so I bought another set of leads ....  26 notes lighter

its been fine since ,,, but I said that last time
