I was expecting that to have a v6 under the bonnet (but still 1.3 on the paperwork obvs).

Mmmmmm, Cat C or D with indeterminate mileage and some low-level Barrying?

At least it's better than a shiny one adorned with Halfords tat.

I think.

Pretty sure the plod or an MOT tester wouldn't like those open wheels if they saw it on the road.

It's only a fugging diesel Spacevan!!  I bet this is absolutely fucking diabolical to drive.

I had one of these - pre-spacevan facelift.  I can confirm it was wank.  One time it wouldn't get moving in an icy car park, so I locked the sliding door open, put it into 2nd second and let the clutch up, jumped out and pushed it to get it moving, then jumped back in and roared* away.  Warm heater though.

That ad wins this week's bollock faced expressions bingo though -

It only needs rare barn find for the set

If you came across strict plod with any knowledge of the law, you'd be on 3 points for vehicle in a dangerous condition CU20 for quite a bit of that paraphernalia.  Pretty unlikely though since there are more or less no Police about any more.

My parents had one of these new, always seemed like a weird, oddball thing after being brought up on a series of BL hatchbacks and saloons, with cubby holes everywhere and picnic tables it was right fancy, even though they got the 1.4 petrol which could barely get out of its own way and had cold start problems at 2 years old.

I must be feeling nostalgic as for some bizzare reason I like this, the interior has worn well and a bit of spit and polish plus trims would smarten it up but the performance issue sounds potentially bad, turbo gone?

These have got to be pure gold shite, shurely?  They seem to have something of an image problem now but seemed quite fresh and interesting from boring old Mercedes when new, elk issues aside.

I would love to see how far you'd get in this one, seeing as the owner claims it still drives but also saying it's only running on one cylinder.
