What the fuck is going on here? I've seen them with the overgrill bit at the front before, but not with the hernia's down the side and rivet effect arches.

Odd 4 seater interior in lurid colour, array of warning lamps displaying, and autoshite's favourite engine to boot. Shite green gold.

I like it 8)

With ref to that gaudy Freelander, I remember reading an interview in Autocar with its designer Gerry Mcgovern saying the hideous plastic crap on the side would be in his ideal spec for the car. Seems to have been serially promoted since then too.

Hands up who wants a railway personnel carrier being driven by Sergeant Wilson

Is there no end to that man's talents - not only did he write one of the best series of the 90's "cracker" but designed the Freelander too!

I've not seen a Ford A series for yonks. When I worked for the Forestry Commission in a past life we had a couple, 2.4 York diesel powered and 3.6 York 6 pot. Or did I dream that last bit?

Posted

I don't think you did. I had an A-Series in Belgium with a 3.6 Diesel six.

No sound deadening wehatsoever, it was like driving inside a bass drum.

The 2.4 was a mobile workshop and wasn't much slower when laid on it's side in a Northumbria bog with frogs hopping about in the back with the new farmhouse generator! :-D

We've had that Buick on here before.  I'd be all over it if I had somewhere for it, because it really needs saving.

GIB, ffs!
