Is that Metro van badged as a Morris?

yes, the last vehicles to wear the morris name was the metro van, up until 1985, and that was about 9 months to a year or so after the ital finished.

WOW, I'd buy that van just so I can instigate the inevitable argument with people when I tell them I own a Morris Metro.

You may remember I brought back a "Morris" Metro van from Cyprus in 2012.  It had issues, having spent many years laid up, but the body was perfect.  1275 with less than 17,000 miles behind it.

no idea TBH, but, BUT BL themselves did refer to the Metro van as a Morris only in the sales and promotional material, so i would hope that this is the case?

I read the ad.  He says that DVLA has told him it's listed as Austin.

Blimey, you realise the years are passing quickly on seeing one of these billed as a classic (which is a good thing).

Remember checking these out when brand new, and thinking even then how simple they were under the bonnet.

Great!

Must get one before they go the way of Metros, i.e. unaffordable . . .

When I started checking out new Renners, those were still a pie in the sky.
