Crikey - wish I could leave one of my cars under a tarp for 'a few years' like that Minor 'hot rod' and only get a fail list like this...

MOT Fails:

Number Plate light

Washers

Drivers seat does not lock into the upright position

Steering Rack

No near side mirror

Hand brake lever needs adjusting

I thought they needed offside, and one other (nearside or rear view)

Glides up the motorways with ease oiling you home in opulent luxury and comfort. The unique selling point of the car in my opinion is the silence & quietness in the cabin. The engine is so quiet but if the throttle is provoked the V8 responds with a vocal repertoire displaying its dichotomic  characteristics - Think Butler /polite Butler on steroids if you will!

I might buy this just to get an opportunity to meet the seller and take him to a bar until 3am.

Selling my toys due saving up for 4X4.

Then again, maybe not.

what a clown. That advert sums up everything that is greedy about some types in the old motor scene.

That thing is an engine donor, and nothing else. The reason it's sat there for so long is because it is dog shit. No-one wanted it then and no-one wants it now

I must be no-one, following your logic*.

I like it. believe it or not woody old skool station wagons/wagon queen family trucksters are getting bloody rare even in the US, yeah it's gonna want lots of recommissioning due to standing but it looks solid enough, although I wouldn't want to give much more than a bag for it.

I hope it does get a sympathetic new owner rather than engine rapeage or bangering, cheap full size RWD yank barges just don't crop up any more.

Plus, for added kudos, this guy drives one of them.
