I learned to drive in a P6, I love the interiors. This one sold for not a lot - but have posted for its description alone:

Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to take you back in time to a byegone era, before our roads were taken over by the samey blandness of modern motoring, to an age when individuality and style dominated the showrooms, mustaches were worn all year round with dignity and pride and the colour brown was allowed to take its rightful place as a prince among hues.

In short, let me introduce you to the ultimate classy intercontinental gentleman's conveyance - my rather marvelous Rover P6 V8...

On its return from Africa, the Rover went into semi-retirement on Dartmoor, where it's currently seen from time to time roaming between the quaint drinking establishments which dot the moor.

That sounds like it was someone from here? Worth reading the rest:

A 1725 Rootes lump is not exactly what I'd consider suitable propulsion of what I call a Hot Rod.

Not even with twin webers?

"I drove it once or twice a week just to keep it loose"

"Unfortunately, a few weeks ago I had some bad news concerning my health".

That's a result of trying to work out where to start restoring this. Use as is, throw the body away when the paint has stopped glueing it together and replace with a couple of aeroscreens and a tractor seat - instant 'special'.

That thing could actually be quite nice with an early Red Ram Hemi.

Yeah, but not for anything appraoching 10k.
