Renault Migrane Floppy hard top for 650 quid. The roof works manually only apparently, fuck only knows how you get one of these things up manually. There's probably something like a tiny radiator bleeding key you need turn 4000 times.

Rover only lasted as long as they did because of a loyal band of Giffers born at a time when you bought British as a principle and mistakenly believed you still had to wait 2 weeks for foreign car parts. Problem was they gradually died off whilst the remaining found they were getting the same car 9 nine years down the line, but with flimsier wood inserts.

After some frantic googling I am inclined to agree, I think its a Jatco box as opposed to the mega wank ZF CVT stepspeed box in the smaller-engined Rovers.

 

ISTR Jatco box for the V6 cars.
