CSi Munich (used this before, sorry)

I don't remember seeing this before, but it looks very nice, so thanks for repeating it. I expected it to have a boot spoiler though!

I've got a Minichamps model virtually identical, but with a boot spoiler & with black bumpers. Pics if you like?

Sorry, I meant I used the 'joke' before, not the pics/car...4-door Altos pop up every now and then here but they sold mostly 2-doors, there's a lovely FX automatic for sale for 500 euros but it needs a bit of welding and I'm not supposed to buy a second car for another 9 years and 11 months

Your Alto's seem to have a different rear to ours. Ours had an arrangement that made them look just like MkI Metro's; with the number plate on the bumper!

Indeedy, more like this (although this is a Maruti)

Yes that's it, we must have only got one style, 5 door! I actually prefer it like that because I don't like the look of that thick heavy black plastic handle on the 3 door! :|

More! Well, we had an 'Autoloze zondag' or car free sunday, so what else can you do but take a walk with the camera... most of these were in a small industrial estate, no paid parking there so lots of old stuff gets parked there.

Wow, you've gone snap happy! My picks are the black & gold Opel Ascona A, the black Dodge day van with all the tinted windows! The cream Panda 34, I spy the Fiat 500 Nuovola, I don't think they've made it over here yet! 8) and the old Mercedes campers / minibuses which we've been talking about on another thread! Talk of the devils!

Panda 34, a version the UK didn't get. Has an 843cc engine derived from the one out of the 850. We didn't get the Panda 30 either, which had the 652cc twin cylinder aircooled from the 126

We only got the 45 which had the 903cc engine from the 127.

Panda 34 was made from 82 to 86 and I'd say that one is possibly a late one, on the basis it has the Uno wheels that were fitted to all MK 1 Pandas in the last year of production.

I also have a deep desire to bring that home and give it some TLC :)

I love that Panda, so simple and pure. It was first registered in March 1986.

Another sunshiny day, so I took the camera and a walk. I might have posted pics of some of the cars before, I've got a memory of no more than 256MB.

Some great stuff there, loving that Renner 4 van but the beige 525 slushmatic is just top notch.

A shame I didn't have much time to spare during my Dutch trip last year, as I clocked a fair amount of old grot around places such as Delft.

Cheap ass kit car. This guy had a good response for that comment - I know as I sounded just like him when I read it

Nice pics - like the Saab 90 - I'd forgotten about that model.

Posted

Pure jealousy :D Though I am strictly a first series Fixed Head E-type guy.

Love the E12 5 Series, the 504 saloon, the R4 F6 van. That red MkII Lancia Y10 is the only post UK Lancia I regret us not receiving, it looks mega funky! :D The Saab 90 - heard of it but don't think I've seen one before. Was it a 99 / 900 hybrid crossover model? (99 front, 900 rear) Presumably it bridged a gap & didn't last very long?

Posted

You got a photo there that's just a texture of some sorts - what izzit?

Posted

think its a closeup on the roof of the DS.

You mean the one in the background of this picture?

I thought that was badged "Ypsilon" ?

Posted

they were, or just 'Y'Pre release their was talk of a new revolutionary paint system by PPG, giving you the option of just about ANY colour you wanted. After ordering Lancia were going to send you a toy 'Y' in your chosen shade to check the colour  Guess that never happened

Posted

Oh ok, well it's in the same segment as the Y10, I just thought that was the newer version & the most recent small car by Lancia was the Ypsilon (which I don't dig and don't even know how to pronounce!)......

I thought it was the roof of the Citreon?

Yep again, Volksy guessed it a few posts back.
