The best music video ever?

I love Paris anyway, but to be transported back in time like this & be there in the 70s & 80s would be a dream come true.

If this were real, I'd park up, camera in pocket & go on the most amazing tat spotting adventure ever! Those avenues & alleyways of one of the most alluring cities in the world that is Paris would provide hours of interest!

This was pilfered by Snow Patrol from a short film produced in 1976. If you don't like Snow Patrol, turn the volume down & watch it to something like...er....Plastic Bertrand - Ca Plane Pour Moi

For classy shite in a video, can I suggest Rammstein's keine lust?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k-vPv-X ... re=related

WTF ?
C'mon, a Silver Shadow, a Bentley S2 , a stacklight Merc 600 and some Americana has to be classed as classy shite, no? I didn't say the video was any good, but the cars are!

As for best music video, I'd say Vienna.

Best music video I can ever recall is 'Gravel Pit' by The Wu Tang Clan.

Do the other suggestions contain shite though? No M'coli, wasn't questioning the cars, just the band!

You git, I'm going to be singing that all day now! :P:twisted: That Snow patrol is pretty special, Quoted from someone's comment on youtube.

The song's music video is actual footage from the classic cult film C'était un rendez-vous by director Claude Lelouch. It's entirely 'stolen' footage (no permision granted from the authorities in Paris) shot from the bumper of a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 at around 5.30 amSpeeds have been estimated to be between 87 and 135 mph

That's just madness. And WTF x2 on the fat men and Steven Hawkens in the german video! This is always a good video for seeing some old tat just a shame the Marina cops it in the end.

Another irrelevant fact  Russ Abbott took over the role of Fagin when Rowan Atkinson was ill with a hernia.

I had forgot all about that Madonna vid, I bought and sold that caddy for them! Did some of the cars for the dance scene too, but the ones they bought did not fair well! I remember pushing the big dents out of some of them.

I've always had a bit of a love hate relationship with Snow Patrol. The track doesn't suit the film playing in my humble opinion. Something like Fu Manchu's 'King Of The Road' would be more my thing.SP's first album, 'Songs For Polar Bears' is bloody brilliant. Well, the first 6 tracks of it are. It's a bit prophetic really, because the half I like is solid indie, and the rest of it is the sort of insipid half arsed whinge ballad template that they ended up making their money on. They find their musical style in that album and it's a bit depressing, because the potential is there and you see them turn away from it.You can tell how much they've changed because a mate of mine, who loves 'Eyes Open' got in my C4 one night and refused to believe we were listening to Snow Patrol because 'it doesn't sound anything like them'.Their popularity was just on the up when I was in the second year of Uni - about the time they brought out 'Spitting Games'. They supported Grandaddy at Academy 3 and they were virtually ignored by the audience. This was 2003 \ 2004 or so. Funny how things change, and sad that they've found acclaim and millions of fans off the back of some sub MOR drivel they could have ditched.

Yes, Eyes Open was one of their well known ones but I prefer another track off the same album called Eyes Shut
