Nova Estate?

My son went to the big Vauxhall show at Billing Aquadrome on Sunday. Amongst many other curiosities, this caught his eye. Owner wasn't around to question so no further info about it.

Awesome 8) I assume it's a 2 door saloon with a hatch tailgate / roof panel grafted in, looks pretty good anyway :)

Agreed. He's done a good job of it by the look of things too, though rear side windows look a little bigger than they should be.

That looks ace, looks a proper good job as well. I winder if those side windows are plexiglass?

Are the windows not from a circa 1985 carlton?

Impressive! Must have been a reasonably big job as well.

Makes you wonder why more manufacturers dont make small car estates - surely the Sid & Doris brigade would like something like that for weekend runs to the tip with their collection of garden clippings and crotched toilet roll cosys.

Unfortunately we didn't get the kia pride estate!

I can only think of the 206SW as the only (horrible) small car estate thing.A Mk3/4 Fiesta Estate or a Metro Estate would just rock.

New Renault Clio is also available as a (slightly pointless) estate.

Hm, I wonder if the side windows came from one of these.

Oh yes - needs to be a bit squarer at the back IMHO, but quite nice.

Think that Nova works well, Looks quite like a Mk4 Escort at first glance though.Did you get any rear shots of it?.

I've often wondered about building one of these, you'd think that using the hatchback tailgate and rear roof section, it ought to go together fairly well. I may be wrong but I even think the sallons and the hatches use the same tail llights? Anyway this one does look extremely factory, most impressive.I think some markets do sell a corsa estate?

That's a really tidy job. I always fancied doing such a conversion using a Mk1 Golf roof, tailgate etc and a Mk1 Jetta to make a Mk1 golf Estate. Sadly, I'm not a big enough fan of VW's to stump up the scene tax. Or put in the effort come to think of it.

I like small estates, there aren't enough of them. The Datsun 1200 is a perfect size for something that you'd only need to use the loadspace in occasionally.

A pat on the back to the owner, a good job. Gotta be perpex windows though?

It looks like a Chevette van/estate with later front panels/grill stuck on
