Small dent on car how much do you think it should cost to repair.

Today I managed to back into a small post while reversing around a pigeon who refused to vacate the only parking bay in the car park and I hit a post that sticks out so it didn’t touch the rear bumper but put a small dent behind it which is really bugging me as the car is in fantastic shape.

I’ve now got to get it fixed as it’s slap bang in the middle below the boot so stands out a mile and wondered if someone would give me a rough ballpark on what I should pay for the repair.

The car is a metallic green so I guess it’s going to be harder to flow the paint in than a non metallic car.

Vince, talk to Peter Johnson Body Repairs in Beeching road. They do very good work and don’t generally charge the earth.

When my fatha in law to be had a small prang in his nearly new Merc they sorted it good as new.

Lordy! If it isn't a notifiable animal (s.170 RTA 1988 - horse, cattle, ass, mule, sheep, pig, goat or dog) run it over!

About £50 paintless dent removal if they can do it, slightly more if they can't and you have to pay for a smart repair.

I just emailed a paintless dent removal firm and was told it’s a no go so it looks like it’s going to need a bit of filler and paint.

I think I will use Pete in Beeching road ( if he’s the guy behind Philimores) as he’s done all my cars since I moved to Bexhill.

And it’s great going round his paint shop as he always shows me his new toys as he likes restoring American muscle cars.

I’ve got the car sorted and it looks like new again and cost £100 so it wasn’t the end of the world now I’ve just got to clean the rest of the car.post-9282-0-45786000-1530772180_thumb.jpeg
