It's a quite rare JDM y0 Hilux 3.0D extra cab 2+2*, not exactly shite money but it's in good condition and not been abused like most of these trucks, it drives really well for what it is. My friend is chuffed with it but he has four of these mk4 Hiluxes now! Ideal for ISIS training camp in the foothills of the east Cairngorms.

Looks like the sort of rear legroom you get in an S60 or S40... :-D

That's a canny bit more room than in the back of our 2006 v70

Daytime pic, it's a bonny truck. You can't see it but the fog lights are yellow tinted.

It took a fair while to get up the road, the low gearing, air box resonance and reluctance to accelerate in 5th gear at 3000rpm imposed a 60-65 MPH limit. It lost a couple of bulbs in the dash on the way up the road and the brakes were binding a little, enough to make the wheels warm-hot but it was well behaved otherwise.

It's a Japan-built not Thai-built truck and has some oddities like a boost compensator on a non-turbo pump. Is that used for emissions or altitude/atmosphere fuelling adjustment?

It's quite appealling, I'd like something similar if I wasn't useless with money.

My Dad had one of these, one of the best cars he has ever owned. He still regrets selling it, as he didn't need a pick up ute at the time.

GR8 4 BEIN MARTY MCFLY!

Funny you should mention BTTF, Dad wanted to build a replica of the McFly Hilux. So much so that he bought a 86 Hilux SR5 King-cab, but he sold it on when he realised how much work it would involve, plus it was a badermatic!
