Going Rate for a Banger?

I can't do true bangernomics though. Granted, the first time my Laguna doesn't change gear or turn on, and it's not an easy fix it goes in the bin. But I'll not deny it cheap suspension parts and an oil change when it needs one whilst it keeps running. Indeed I'd probably hunt out a car being sold cheaply because it needs a ball joint or spark plugs...

I've got a death wobble atm because I accidentally ripped all the wheel weights off one wheel. I'm going to swap the wheel to the back later, but part of me is thinking I'll just send it in for wheel balancing before it breaks something else/makes me want to kill myself (can't go above 55 unless it's 85...)

True bangernomics would be leaving it alone and just driving it...

Rarely is just spark plugs though when someone's selling it cause it won't run right.

Yes, youve still got to maintain it, I still fully service them every year. That's basic.

I'm a weirdo that puts the whole costs of car ownership into an excel spreadsheet. I never admitted that in public before.....prolly with good reason.

Been doing it for years, even ran extra hypothetical columns based on different fuel suppliers (veg oil)
