Estate car wanted. Or possibly a hatchback...Swap for Rover 416SI? Now with pics.

I need a back up car really, an estate car or hatchback, preferably an auto but not a deal breaker. In exchange for the very white Rover 416 SI that many of you may know. Previously owned on here and also by Danny Hopkins of Practical Classics etc etc..

Lovely car, full MOT and new springs fitted. L565 TAP if you care to check....

Ta!

Will post pics tomorrow as can't at the moment. Although there aren't any bad bits TBH. It's pretty immaculate all round. A slightly drooping headlining at the rear and a touched up bleb at the base of the aerial being about all.

Is the Saab still Saabing? Just thought you were replacing it!

Still going nicely mate. Just need another estate car as Mrs Beard sometimes works away and I can't take the dog out to the beach.

Until BtB uploads the pics, here's the latest one I could find from another thread to get everyone's sausages good and frothy.

This is a bloody gorgeous car and the only piddly bits are the bit by the aerial and the headlining. That is it. Fix them and you will have a minter, an absolute minter.

Errrrrrm, Panda has an estate, he also has the long term hots for the Rover............ hmmmm.

Stop it Ken. Only just got the Astra taxed and insured...

Plus, couldn't do this in the Rover...

Fair point. Don't say I didn't try and have a go at this vehicular matchmaking lark.

I think I will just get a large (possibly tartan) rug from a charity shop and spread it over the back seat for the dog to sit on and just keep the Rover instead of this swapping malarky.

Simples.

Am I doing this right?

At least with the Rover you have a known quantity, so you aren't taking on a whole load of new problems I guess. Should be the sensible* option.
