25v6turbo Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I want to get a pair of numberplates made for my Safrane, but don,t want any logo at the bottom,OR to find a company who can print RENAULT CROYDON at the bottom for me,is there such a place??,Renault Croydon don,t put there name at the bottom of the plates anymore.
mattblack Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I think by law the company that makes the plates has to put their name and postcode on the bottom...???

Conrad D. Conelrad Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 There's a shop near me with some lovely, slighly wonky 70s style adhesive plates in the window. I keep meaning to pop in and see how much they are.

25v6turbo Posted June 29, 2009 Author Posted June 29, 2009 All i need for the set is a lovely RENAULT CROYDON(not Birmingham)rear window sticker, got the original tax disc holders(Croydon and RAC RENAULT,complete with cards)key fob, correct dialing code, and plates on order, but i need ANOTHER poxy window sticker, anyone live near Renault CRoydon who could pop in and try and get one(although its a Reagroup)
Guest Tony Hayers Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I had this kind of problem when I needed new plates for my recent purchaced Sierra. I had a pair of plates made up in Bridgend Ford (with the logo at teh bottom) but the mean bastards refused to give me a rear window sticker and a tax disc holder to complete the look.Clydach based Ford dealer D & W Thomas (small independent dealer) however were only too happy to make me up a pair of plates with the dealer name at the bottom and give me rear window sticker, tax disc holder and a little plate edging thing to go at the bottom of the plate with the dealers name/no and Ford logo in the middle. It cost me £25 in the end after having 2 sets of plates made up but I got what I wanted in the end (some people have more money than sense/ a fool and his money etc etc)I think by law the company that makes the plates has to put their name and postcode on the bottomI was told that a dealer can only print their own name at the bottom of a plate or leave it blank and not put another dealers name. Show plates though may be a diffrent thing

Milford Cubicle Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Booo, modern font plates on old cars are toss.
25v6turbo Posted July 1, 2009 Author Posted July 1, 2009 Is this not right for 1994?? they even did the dialing code as 081 for me.
Milford Cubicle Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I'm not sure really, it doesn't look quite like the standardised post-2001 font now that I've looked at it closer. There were so many fonts used before the standardisation.
andrew e Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 A bit late, but here you are: http://www.dealerplates.co.uk/
