So,

The game is afoot.

Phase 1:

Assume the sleeping pose on southeastern's finest Javelins

Phase 2 commences around 3 pm

Just another office - better than some of the shithole construction sites I've had to work on, worse than others. Beats our head office by a country mile mind - that place is horrific.

A few more fire extinguishers and you'd have a nice little bowling lane there.

Right, where was I

Walk from office back to St Pancras - My favorite station of ever:

Whereupon a different train was selected for the next stage:

But where was it going to?????

and on to the next leg - a tube full of meelers, tcheuchters and toonsers:

So where am I? and more importantly what is the object of desire?

Not a Volvo.

So this is where I lived from age 9 until 21ish - the view has not substantially changed

I am in the fine wee village of Potterton, just a few miles north of Aberdeen and where my parents still live. They are in the process of clearing the house/getting it ready for sale prior to their move down south. A process that is infinitely more challenging than it should be due to my mothers fairly rapid descent into a form of mental illness that manifests itself via the medium of benign hallucinations.

By the by though, one result is that she has had her licence suspended and will never drive again. But as long as the car sits there my parents are constantly spending money on things like insurance, tax, a reserved parking place in the centre of Aberdeen etc.

Enter me and my offer to remove said car in return for doing some work around the house, more packing and the exchange of sheckels.

A glimpse:

At first I thought Mk1 Focus Estate, but that indicator repeater is more Fiesta.

If you're still in Potterton tomorrow I'll make sure to flick the V's wave politely on my way past. :D

Put a lug of fuel system cleaner in it, 650 miles will be a good opportunity for the mother of all Italian tune ups!

So, 9.5 hours after leaving the big A we arrived in Sandwich. Unbelievable! No traffic issues, no car issues, no comfort issues. I are impressed.

Soz for the boring thread.

At least you know that it is going to perform very well at just being a car and giving no trouble with it. Good result in my opinion.

Sorry to hear about your mum though, I cant imagine that will be easy for you to deal with.
