I can't really remember watching Bread!, What's that got to do with a Jag 240? I think my simpleness may of just killed the joke!

Posted

Joey in Bread drove a Jag.You didn't miss much IIRC. it started as a comedy but soom became the most depressing thing on TV. No mean feat in the 80s.

to be precise this is a Simca-Unic Marmon-Bocquet

Went out again this afternoon for a shite spotting fest with Mrs. Trigger, She loves it... :?

This is the Alfasud i mentioned earlier, It's a 1200 as well for extra shite points.

Posted Image

A 144 i randomly spotted up a driveway, It's been off the road since 2000,

Posted Image

This one is a WINNA, Been in this front garden since 1994 it would seem!. The neighbours must love them!.

Posted Image

I've seen this taxi working around town for ages, It was a few doors away from the 244 above, I wonder if this is one of the oldest taxi's still working in the area and what the mileage is?.

Posted Image

I've seen this soft top SAAB 96 driving around town a few times.

Posted Image

Proper pimp! In a pub carpark!.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Not very clear but i let this Trans Am out in front of me on Felixstowe sea front, the V8 sounded 8)

Posted Image

This Sherpa Coupe looks like it's been of the road for a while but it's on SORN.

Posted Image

What's this?.

Posted Image

Shite Proton still in daily use.

Posted Image

These where at the garage in the above photo.

Around the back was a few Moggys, A MK 2 Granada and this (Couldn't get a shot of the others).

Posted Image

I recognise that Alfasud 1200 from somewhere. Its not wuvvumz old one is it?

Posted

Did you spend today spotting? If so, you did well! I wish we had more garden ornaments like that OVLOV round here, but due to the poshness of this area its really uncommon. That CF is my fave this time.

Only about 2 1/2 hours this afternoon Brammy!, I done well i think!

What's this?.

Posted Image

That is a Ford Capri in these parts.

great pics trig, love the fact they had to smash the wall down to put that volvo there, musta loved it at one time

Posted

Yes, Some one on Flickr just told me it's a 1993 Mercury Capri 1.6, Possibly a XR2 Turbo, Sounds like a fun piece of kit!.

Wonder whats in the garage at that house ^ ? They've had a fairly big extension built by the look of it and used the downstairs to make a double garage - you don't do that unless you are an enthusiast. I'd like to think theres something nice in there :D Great photos as well, loving the Dacia!

Posted

Awesome.... Dont think i've ever seen a Dacia in the metal. You lot are making me feel lazy, i've only got two measly spots so far this year!

Just a few from today and the last week or so.

Tidy Honda Ballade

Posted Image

Posted Image

Past this Nissan Pao today on the A12, Don't think I've seen one before in the flesh, Pretty cool little motor.

Posted Image

This was sat on a mafi at my work, Not sure if it's entering the country or leaving it, Looked quite tough though, Guessing it's for the USA Army.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I saw these next two parked up in the car park of Manheim car auctions near Clacton.

Scrappage victim maybe?, only had 63000 miles on the clock and was very tidy.

Posted Image

Posted Image

The first Metro van i have seen for years, Still showing on the DVLA site as taxed although it had no tax in the window, Due to met it's maker soon i guess.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted

Nice ones as per Trigger, I do like the metrovan. And I saw a Ballade like that 2 weeks ago, first one in a while! They all seem to be the same colour.

Posted

I that will be the last Metro van i see again as well, How dated does it look though!

Posted

I took these when i was in Spain last year, They didn't come out to great though.

Posted Image

Posted Image

and these i took today.

Any idea's what this is?, It's just turned on the road behind my house, Reminds me of Mr. Magoos car.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I often see this rattle can orange Escort about

Posted Image

And this LHD Porker, There was a nice oap spec Mk2 Escort in this car park yesterday but i never had time to stop

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted

Ah, i think you might be right, I never thought about a roofrack being on it!, I thought it might be one of those dodgy looking jap imports.

Posted

That van would suit you Pog!

Just got back from having a X-ray at Ipswich Hospital and spotted a couple more.

This 280 TE was at the drop of area, It must have a private plate as DVLA list it as a 1982 but date of first reg is Nov 1989?.

Posted Image

This little minter was in the car park, only had 91000 miles and a saw Sid and Doris leaving in it later.

Posted Image

Posted Image

And like buses there was another 360 the other end of the car park!.

Posted Image

On the way back i popped into Galaxy models and this was out side, Had the full black leather interior as well, Yummy.

LOVING the 300s. Saloons are super rare around these parts now, can't remember the last time I saw one.Saw a beautifully shabby pre-facelift 340 GL today though, tried to get a pic but phone died, how fucking annoying.

Posted

I do like Triggers stonking spots. There's a couple of cars I recognise, I saw that Volvo at Manheim in Frating last week, there was also a MKII Escort in one of the auction halls. Opposite the car park where the Porsche was photographed (Duke Street?), the private road next to the shop is where the cowboy wheel clampers operate. I know that Skoda Octavia well, we supplied it new, sold it used and serviced it last week.

Posted

Small world!, You must work for Cattermoles then? The home of overpriced used cars!Yes the Porsche was in the Duke street car park, there was a Dark Blue Mk2 Escort 4 door in there yesterday as well, and those clampers outside Tesco's are a nightmare, I watched them clamp 5 cars in a row about a month ago in that side road, There was people going mad at them, even the police turned up in the end.Luckily they have built a Tesco express on Nacton Road now so i haven't got to go there any more.

More that i have spotted this afternoon, (Apart from the first one)

Spotted on the A1 yesterday, I do like these.

Posted Image

This tidy Prelude belongs to a old chap on my road, There's Gold one next door as well.

Posted Image

OMG another 4 door Volvo 340!, These are still very popular here in Ipswich.

Posted Image

Posted Image

This old double decker was just near me, Looks recently burnt out as well.

Posted Image

Now these next one's all were at the back of a local car dealer's, Not sure what the story is on them as none of them were taxed.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

In the same yard was this Elite which hasn't been taxed since 1992.

Posted Image

Next i drove down to Whip Street Motors to see what was in the yard, But it was closed so got this snap instead, Looks like Peugeot 504 Pick Up and Nissan Bluebird at the top of the heap.

Posted Image

This was nice, 1989 Fiesta 1.4 Olymus with all the XR2 bits, I bet an old girl owns it.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Spotted this really nice old skool garage in a little village, There was lots of car's parked up in the yard but as people were still working there i didn't want to look around too much, But i did spot these.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Cortina 2.3 Ghia on a driveway.

Posted Image

Would you class these as shite yet?, I would, Pointless 2 seaters based on a Vitara, Many of them 2 wheel drive.

Posted Image

Posted Image

On another garage forecourt.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Spotted this on some wasteland near the main road, There was also a digger there as well as a big barn full of stuff that hadn't been touched for years.

Any idea what it is?, AEC Matador?.

Posted Image

And lastly was this 1990 Nissan Bluebird ZX Turbo with a smashed rear 1/4 window and on a dodgy estate, According to the DVLA tax is due at the end of month, hopefully it will get some care soon, It was very clean.
