I stumbled across that 625 site a while back. The research and detailing is slightly beyond enthusiasm but I have to say the fact that they have recreated those old idents is good thing. I wonder why the use of wind instruments are so common in the 60's and 70's. Victor Lewis Smith did a neat program a few years back about TV idents. Might try and search for that.

Oh that was 'TV Offal', he used the old 'Associated Rediffusion' ones a lot. I know loads of pointless crap.

TV Offal was great. He also made Ads Infinitum, with a lot of fantastic 70s footage.

I have the whole series of TVOffal on a non-official dvd. Remember the Gay Daleks with their white wee-wee!

Victor Lewis Smith is just brilliant - I've got a CD of his wind up phone calls which has me ROFL each time I listen

Imagine my dismay, misreading the thread title and thinking it was something to do with the Mazda 626.

Is it the sort of DVD you could make a copy of? That TV Offal made me laugh like a twat. Well good.
