Props and Pistons show photo time

Today it was the Props and Pistons show at the East Kirkby Aviation Museum in Lincolnshire and very good it was too. Sunshine, cars and old aircraft, what's not to like? Here are my photographic efforts with my 'not that great a camera, buy a decent SLR you tightwad' device.

My Anglia with an old plane in the distance.

A Queen Mary!

You could buy a ride on the Queen Mary, rather more cash required for a ride on the Lanc. Brilliant day out, hot and sunny, cars and planes, what's not to like? Get there next year Mr Hooli, you'll love it.

I can't press "Like" enough times for this thread!  We were definitely there at the wrong time, in March.  Have to do it again and hope the museum is properly open this time.  Shame the end of August is a no-no.

They have quite a few events Eddy including an airshow normally held earlier in August. Bizarrely they don't open on Sundays which I would have thought would be a prime day for visitors. They are hoping to have the Mosquito ready to taxi by next spring, it's owned by a father and son. As you know loads to see there and it's even better if the Lanc is on taxiing duties. If you want to visit again I know where there is a spare room in a house complete with model car museum 8) Normally I don't really bother with taking photos but I made an exception for this.

I was there for the airshow, it was cracking.

That looked a great event, love the Bedford/Queen Mary trailer combo and what it was being used for. The Impala and 105E both look stunning......
