I had a Fuego GTS many moons ago

 

It was quite pokey, having the 1.6.  So the blown 1.4 must send it beyond its chassis quite easily

Massive front comfy seats made it clausto in the back though.

 

Being a Renault, it killed itself after few months

I was in Munich in 1989 and remember seeing several motors still showing the damage - I came to the right conclusion but not that it was particularly extreme weather: rather that it was the norm in that locale.
