Any Renault Specialists in the Hoose?

As some of you know, I'm currently living the dream in a Karmenn Ghia cabriolet.

 

One minor fly in the ointment is the idle speed is too low when hot.  Can anyone advise on a cheap and easy fix?

 

Oh, and the car is a 2000 W Renault Megane 1.6.  Its as sweet as a nut cold.

Dirty throttle body or dirty idle control valve? Can't remember which this has.

Where would I find the idle control valve?

 

I'm guessing good old carb cleaner does the throttle body?

Yeah carb cleaner should do the trick.

Throw it away and buy something else.  Bloody Renaults.

As everyone else says it was the idle control valve on my R reg

Only because this era Renault rarely need welding, so you'd have nothing to fix with the sparkle sticks.

Glad this was asked because my throttle is a bit 'either on or off' especially when cold, making it jerky.
