Phenomenal news!

Yer man Tickman was most gracious in collecting a new interior for this last weekend.

Seller was north of Aberdeen, but was passing through Tickmans hame toon on the Sunday morning, so the exchange took place then.

He then shuttled it through to Scotoshite in his spacious Italian estate, and we managed to wrestle it into the e36 for later fitting.

Pics or an overloaded Coupe will be available shortly..

Here's some quick pics taken as it was being done. I'll get better ones in the daylight tomorrow

Sport restored

EFA, or at least as much as it can be in a 2.0 auto..

Exactly what I do on all of my cars, if the interior is broken/tired, fit one from a higher range model. Looks superb!

Get some Gliptone Liquid leather on them and they will look brand new.

It came with rear doorcars, but no fronts. Doorcards can get looked at when I'm storing the non working window and elected mirrors

Woop!

Left work at 3.45pm, and luzzed a tankful in it at a local supermarket (1.129/l ftw!)

Then it was a schlep along the free flowing A702 from Edinburgh to sunny Tebay for dinner.

Suitably fed on chiff n fips, and caffeinated for m6 driving we headed out in search of Wrexham.

Liberal application of straight 6 saw us beat our southern mates to the hotel (aided by them going to a similarly named one nearby)

I parked in the exec section next to an x300

Then the e35* (compact, innit!) Turned up

It is sort of in between two cheeks, Engerland and Way-els.

There was that awful Korean 4x4 styling disaster that's known here as the Sssangyong Rectum.

Back to commuting in this today, sports seats still epic!

Since Monday 25th, she's had 3 tanks of fuel amounting to £164..

Still got half a tank left and hoping she makes it to Friday!

Posted

Well she made Friday. A pretty damn good 458 miles on a tank. 36.8mpg

That amounts to a 5p per mile saving over the usual 31mpg per 400 miles, or £20 a week saving.

Think I need to throttle back..

Anyway, have a look at the durtysix pretending its owned by a futures trader in the 90s at the RBS headquarters

And out of 10 ...how is comfort factor

With the new seats its about a 7.

New dampers and bushes would see an 8, but it doesn't have the length or width to be a 10(ooh matron!)

Looks good, Boston green with the 16 inch double spokes always looked nice. A pleasant way to travel for bugger all money.

True, would be nice if it actually WENT though - autobkx plus 2.0 is sloooooow

It's okay, find Radio 4 on the head unit and enjoy the smooth waft.
