James Bond's Renault 11

Not sure about that tbh. The car used in the film was (or at least appeared to be) a TSE / TXE. And that one there is a TC / GTL - interior and lack of rear wiper give it away a bit.Ok, I'm taking my anorak off now

Found this on IMDB

hi everybody!!!

"as you can see in this movie, there\'s 2 or 3 differents R11 TXE...

In first, we can see a R11 TXE electronic, but just when Roger jumped into the car, because seats are specifics into Electronic. after, it\'s just a R11 TXE: seats are classics... and as said G-MANN, sometimes, there is the Badge TXE on the bonnet, sometime it doesn\'t

if you want, i can do you short exposition about the 11 TXE Electronic.

(i\'m french, and i\'m 11 TXE ELECTRONIC owner, so please, scuse my poor vocabulary and grammatical expression)but, it should a good idea if someone could correct my text... perhaps nobody\'ll interested by my proposition, so, too bad...!!

I can propose some pictures to my 11 TXE Electronic... if someone is interested by this scare car...!!!

Patrick

so, as said Arnaultl, 11 TXE Electronic is a specific line."

This complete car was used for close up work and the initial scenes in the movie before Bond damaged the car during its high speed pursuit.

It looks like the car wasn't even driven? Just used for "parked car" bit, before another few cars was used on a completely different shoot???At best, it'll have Rémy Julienne on the log book, it's not clear whether the car was driven in the film at all.

That doesn't look like Roger Moore either......a good old stuntman!

Just noticed the Renault 20 thats about to sideswipe it!!

Doesn't the R20 knock the back end off the R11 - but the front half carries on? Looks like the exhaust has been shortened for the stunt.I remember seeing 'Circus Archaos' - 'zany' alternative French circus troop in the 80's - they took a chainsaw to a prepared R14 and end up driving the front half around in a similar manner.

That is not the 11 that goes down the stairs. The foglamps are built in like a TSE should have which this car doesn't,,and if you look closely at the car coming down the stairs, this car it doesn't have the(what look like) headlamp washers either.
