Did you buy that from a young lad in Buxton? Or possibly when he was in Uni in Preston? I think I use to know that car.

I'm trying to find done more pictures I have of it.

yeah i bought it in buxton.

Mk2, They do predate Datsuns initial uk foray, yes. I think Datsuns very first cars arrived in 69 - although those more knowledgeable than me may differ.

Rusty, Does indeed look like mine- I'd be surprised if there were 2! Mine was registered (& will return to) E448 JOO. It was in a shocking state when I got it.

I found more pictures here; https://hiveminer.com/Tags/zx,zxoc and it is the same car. This was the Z009 show at Billing in, you guessed it, 2009. The Blue S12 was mine.

yeah i bought it in buxton.

Probably less SR badged Turbos than imported U11s!

Weird to see these motors after so many years (well, about 9, but y'know). I had been into Mantas but they were becoming more valuable and there was a big fallout after a software update on the forums with moderators being attacked for moderation decisions resulting in many interesting members departing. Sound familiar? So I shifted over to early 80s Nissans and looked at B12 Sunny Coupes, S12 Silvias and Bluebird Turbos. These were all £700 cars and the club was small enough for forum politics to be non-existent.

Did Ratdat ever finish his B12 Turbo? Did MattW finish his saloon N13 ZX? This thread is making me really nostalgic for the ZXOC and I'm really happy to see some of it survives on Facebook.

Im a serial bluebird licker, it all started with this,

12729341_921297971311548_316160642578111

12745466_921298217978190_472664114717425

Stupidly i scrapped it due to a duff starter motor, the only one i regret scrapping, would have another in a heartbeat.

Years later i went to sunderland and bought this,

12743532_921299141311431_152990000157166

I didnt really click with this one, it was painfully slow, dont know why as the stanza with the same engine went well.

Sold on and is now pineappled.

And finally onto this, had it 3 years now and have no inclination to sell it,

wow thats cool, i remember the zxoc i joined just after i bought it at the begining 2013, i think id only been on their about 2 or 3 weeks then it just disappeared their was a lot of cool cars on their. i do miss that car it was just so difficult to get parts for.

Yeah parts supply was getting sketchy ten years ago so I'd be weary of trying to run one nowadays, much as I'd like a Bluebird Turbo or Sunny Coupe ZX.

Pretty sure I got the last pair of Silvia Turbo handbrake cables that Nissan had back in 2008.

One for Spottedlaurel, a friend spotted this today, locally registered too and looking at the mot history it's been of the road a long time, i wonder where it's been hiding?.

The Bluebird reminds me for some reason of the Renault Savanna.

It makes me think the designer had a picture of a mk2 cavalier on the corner of his drawing board to refer to.

Hey Nigel is your U11 likely to be this one I knew of about ten years ago? It was owned by the fella who ran the ZXOC and who's name I forget. There can't be that many U11 SSS-X Turbo pillar-less saloons in the UK!

Hope nobody parked too close to those trees.
