Some are new stock at my local classic dealer, some are random spottings   There's something note quite right about that Ghia. 4 bolt wheels on a 1964 would suggest that it has had some alterations to the running gear.  That Mk1 Golf reminds me of EKO 316Y, one of the few cars that I have owned which I regret selling.

Yeah I was saying the same thing to the guy fitting the carpets in it - 64 body on a 68 or later floor pan, so should be on the reg that belongs to the floor. Loads of old VWs are bitzas though, it was probably done years back.Â

It makes you wonder if the body has a chassis number plate on it, and does it match the stamping on the floor pan. I presume the number is stamped in the same place as on a Bug floor pan.

Yeah I was trying to read it but the guy was quite busy gluing carpet down so I left it!
