There's something note quite right about that Ghia. 4 bolt wheels on a 1964 would suggest that it has had some alterations to the running gear.

 

That Mk1 Golf reminds me of EKO 316Y, one of the few cars that I have owned which I regret selling.

Yeah I was saying the same thing to the guy fitting the carpets in it - 64 body on a 68 or later floor pan, so should be on the reg that belongs to the floor. Loads of old VWs are bitzas though, it was probably done years back.

That's a bit iffy. It makes you wonder if the body has a chassis number plate on it, and does it match the stamping on the floor pan. I presume the number is stamped in the same place as on a Bug floor pan.

Yeah I was trying to read it but the guy was quite busy gluing carpet down so I left it!

It was on the move! Think I found it in the entry list for the Lavenham VW show, if so it is a real type 82e so Kubelwagen chassis 2wd

Yes the 87 had wider wings, so could be an 82E.
