Did M67 MNC put in an appearance?

No, I'm afraid not. At least I don't think so. There were hundreds of cars there, mostly boy racered Octy and Fabia VRS's but I counted eleven Favorits. There was a Silverline estate.

This was car of the show for me. It wasn't voted car of the show by the judges but they were plainly wrong.

You know how cars always look better in photos then when you turn up to see them you're inevitably disappointed? Well this was the complete opposite.

This was owned by a father and son who were telling me they'd bought it from an old boy who'd given up driving and it was just sitting in his garage. It's one those garage finds we all dream about but turns out to be a heap when we go. But this was absolutely mint. Everywhere. Even under the arches was bright green. And the camera really can't do justice to shiny Atlantic Green paint. It's a colour that tends to fade and lose its shine but this thing I think would glow in the dark.

I tended to walk past the endless lines of Octavias but these caught my eye.

Built to commemorate 100 years of Škoda Motorsport, the graphics are genuine. They built 100 but that includes left and right hand drive. Someone seemed to think only about 25 came over here. They all have their number on the bonnet and on a plate on the dash. The plain white one was number 92 I think (I meant to make a note of all four) but has lost its graphics.

But what's this?

Not the Panda, which was another welcome visitor, but the blue thing which was just a sort of generic car shape.

Turns out it's a Lada Kalina. No, me neither.

Inside looked very 1990's with its grey plastic but I reckon my Felicia is higher quality. But it's on a 56 plate. So obviously someone has imported it and I'd like to think they drove it back from Russia themselves for the sheer hell of it just so we could all lust over it.

Over in one corner of the grounds was a collection of ZA and ZB Magnettes though they were getting slowly swallowed by all the Škodas.

But I bet I was the only person who took a picture of this!

Well it looked they'd posed it down by the lake for a picture so I thought I'd oblige. Like the wonky number plate.

Great stuff. So few Favorits! They are fabulous looking things.

Bev's Toy got traillered then? Must admit, I'm looking forward to the day that it ISN'T at the NEC in November...

I need to revive this just to say IT WASN'T AT THE SHOW!

Also, I desperately need a Favorit in my life.

You certainly do, sir. It's the law :-) . I was there with my Felly estate.

There is. I just don't have space/time for another car at the moment. I'm pretty sure the Rover will be getting replaced by a Fav in the New Year.

There's one on ebay for £4k! Claims to be the best in the country but it's not even a mk1 so it can't be.
