Stumbled across this classic car run when on holiday in Arras.

Thought this was a Ford but not sure,could not see any Ford badges.

Looks like it's a Simca Vedette, which was known as the Ford Vedette before Simca took over Ford France in the mid-1950s.

Lovely stuff. I do like an old Volvo and I have a definite soft spot for a 504.

I'm always hopeful of 'just stumbling across' some sort of classic car event on our French hol's. It hasn't happened yet, might have to do a bit pre-trip research this year.

 

Your shots neatly illustrate those wide French  paths either side of the road, ideal for quickly pulling onto and getting a photo of something interesting on a driveway.....

That Facel Vega Facellia is a pretty remarkable spot! When Facel Vega made the mistake of trying to build its own engine. Think they just lobbed a Volvo engine in later on.

That one's a Facel III, would have the B18 if not modded......They did one with a Healey lump too.
