Well as alluded to in the xantia thread, it's new car time. The xantia has a good home to go to, although it probably won't survive as a car for long, but I'll update it's thread when the at happens.

Preparations for tomorrow mainly consist of insurance and writing down on a bit of paper to bring my wallet put of the xantia, and the phone charger

Yea, kept meaning to change that. I've set the new one to £250,which is as low as it will go.

Got my no claims wrong too, it's 6 years not 7, I'm sure I'll get bumraped for that whwn i ring them to take the xantia off.

The lowest value option is <£5000 too, which is far too high

Me too, i thought that was for the year at first.

Sadly not. £440 something a year for the xantia, me with 6 years no claims, no crashes, 1 sp30.

It is what it is, cant do anything about it, last month I went through the look elsewhere rigmorale, could have saved £30 a year, didnt bother in the end!

Ah, the empty tray of anticipation, and inevitable disappointment.  That's Autoshite all over, that is.

I was tempted, but then I remembered I'm in sainsburys, and it wouldn't be as nice as from a proper place.

Nothing will beat the truckers rest the other weekend!

Get another insurer, Beko!  I am paying 200 and something for a three litre Jagdeo X Type, with a non huge excess, and I've got six points for lairy speeding.   Mrs BV pays similar for her Scaaab two litre Turbot.  Our postcodes are only a few miles apart - is Thame a wretched hive of scum and villainy compared to my grockle village?

Maybe expert Dyson-bothering is rated up there with playing piano in a Russian mafia whorehouse as a risky occupation.

(PS: That's what I tell my mum I do.  Please don't tell her that I'm a lawyer)

Yes, you live in poshville. One year I will, need to save up for new deposits. It needs to be done though. Plus your a gentleman of more experience than I am

And you've been driving longer than I have

Hell, I'm paying only £300 for my V8 Naziwagon in Watford. Then again, BV, you and I are old fuckers so we get to leech off the youngsters, which is as it should be.
