Wanted Small, cheap automatic car

The auto Mitsubishi colt of many shiters has dramatically expired in a growing cloud of smoke.  It became sick very suddenly on it's last journey where the fuel and oil consumption were almost equal, still able to move but smoking terminally.   A replacement is now being sought so a small, sub 1600cc automatic with some MOT for a few hundred pounds in the southern parts of our land. Any more then a few hundred then a delightful* moped/motorbike will need to be included as payment.
