Just how shite does it have to be?

If it's an auto, it's about as desirable as herpes - the boxes are incredibly fragile and many of them are scrapped when the box heads South.

Dealers know they're bad news and price accordingly.

Btw, they may be a bit dull however they are totally fit for purpose.

I see what you probably didn't intend to do there.

I've got a pair of GD Jazzes. CVTs as well. They haven't grenaded their boxes ...yet.

I'll do a proper write up when I can be inspired, which Jazzes just don't do.

, leaks like a sieve through the rear window seal Honda refuse to admit its a design fault despite the fact that the Honda Jazz owners forum shows thousands of cars suffering the same problem,

The roof seams leak at the rear where to seam sealant hardens and cracks. Nothing to do with the window.

I'm currently using my fossils '55 plate Jazz, since the Blandwagon proved too much hassle to get through an MOT.

It's done a wopping 18k from new, but has loads of giffer dents and scrapes on it. I'm surprised by how much surface rust is starting to appear, arches, around the locks and windows etc.

It drives fine, apart from the fact torque was obvs and option not specified on this one.

It's perfectly adequate transport, but as this one is in the light silver/blue, I have found myself going to the wrong car in car parks as they all seem to be this colour!

'Perfectly adequate transport' sums up the cheaper VAG boxes very well, too - except most similarly priced Japanese cars escape the flowery aspirational 'semi-premium' bollocks that draw a depressing number of people in.

Sensibly priced VAG stuff is OK. Expensive German stuff normally lives up to the hype.
Unless you crash it.

I am officially, as of today, in the market for a Honda Jazz. Because of the "magic seats". I'll be using it as a city delivery van with occasional 3 seater potential.  So let me know if anyone wants to sell one.  Sounds like I should avoid the CVTs.
