If you decide you don't want it, I'll happily come to France to get it providing it's not rotten

YES!I can see know justification for not doing so. If your bird complains, simply buy her a headscarf and some big shades and send her off down the shops in it. INSTANT WIN.

Looks like a 304S version of the cabrio with slightly hotter 1288cc engine; was made between 1972 and 76. I had a 204 cabrio and coupe for a long time and they were great little cars, although the 204s had a column change (which was much nicer than the 304's rather sloppy floor change.)

These were all the rage in the eighties and nineties, when parts were more widely available, but seemed to have dropped out of fashion over here recently. Shouldn't be a problem in France though! They rust to pieces of course, especially around the rear suspension. Front styling is unique to the 304, although most body parts for 204 & 304 cabrios are interchangeable. I've still got a complete 304 coupe sitting in a garage in London which hasn't turned a wheel since 1987.

Your one's even got the factory hardtop which is quite rare, looks tidy but could be hiding a multitude of sins.
