I've got a set of Dunlop BluResponse on my Focus and really rate them. Nice and quiet with excellent grip inc in the wet.

Glad to hear that!

They seemed to get decent reviews!

Excellent price, that the same place you told

me about!

No, National in Kirky - booked online and a cheeky lil 5% off code;)

In preparation for the tyre replacement on Sat Morn, I thought it best to get the two to be replaced onto one axle, so swapped the left rear with right front.

This gave me the two 2mm tyres at the front, and healthy 5mm tyres at the rear.

So far so good. Except the rear discs look like they could do with some replacing actions, not to mention the all over rot - check it out!

If it sees out its MOT it'll be doing well

I put two BluResponses on the Laguna. Seem to handle 210 horses going through them while attempting to drag the big lump around a corner.

Nothing a roll of tape won't sort out before the test.

Would that roll be about car sized and shaped?

Yikes. Is that because Scotland?

I think a combo of Scotland and a lack of cleaning..

As long as it goes well a bit of rust is nae bother. I'm going to put part worns on the Megane in light of the age of the car and the low miles I do. You'll likely get the miles from yours no doubt!

If she makes MOT time that'll be about 10000 on the new tyres..less than 1p per mile

Trust you to have worked that out! Does make 100% sense though.

Hey I gotta be able to afford such luxury as a fabia TDI elegance!

Every penny a prisoner;)

Every penny a precisely one mile long strip of rubber molecules on the road between Blackburn and Kirky ;)

2hrs they said for to get 2 tyres fitted - shop was rammed.

So a saunter hame was the name of the game

Pictures of shiny boots to be shown once available:)

Phoned them 20 mins ago, still not done apparently.

Great.

Are you still sat there? :D

Sorry, as it turned out I went back after 4hrs and it had just been done.. Put on my best 'disappointed customer' face, grabbed the key and headed to the 3pm 10pin bowling appointment.

First couple of junctions were lolworthy due to release compound and wet weather, but they quickly scrubbed in.

No pictures yet as dark!

Have done 50 miles on them so far, £1.80 per mile (just for IainL;)

As if life were not fun* enough for Dollywobbler and I today with the Daimler, this bugger has decided to be grumbly to start, and sluggish.

Thankfully I've already procured the correct fuel filter so that will be first port of call tomorrow.

Additionally, I managed to score some correct 507spec oil for cheaps. So a sub 6k mile oil and filter change will be done soon.

Oh, and Iain, 2k miles on the tyres now..so 4.5p per mile;)

7 miles after filling the tank, this was being a total bastard to start. Looks like another fuel filter change is required.

Its done 11k miles in 23 weeks, and cost 14.4p per mile inc fuel/servicing/purchase. I think you'd struggle to do it cheaper:)

It's getting a well deserved rest, and the Lexus is on Fabia Replacement Duty this week.

I have a week off at the start of may, so I'll get around to deciding what to do with it then.

This was grumpy grumpy to start. Again.

Figuring that the fuel filter would be best swapped for the correct one. £15 later and it was fitted.

Now starts off the key happily. Let's hope it stays that way for a fair while..

Much cheaper than the LS400 for the southern commute I reckons.
