We had a Carisma for 80k miles and the only thing it ever needed was a clutch slave cylinder which was two bolts and 10 mins to fit and bleed. Genuinely reliable, easy to live with cars.

Been at least 6 months since I last ran the engine. Put a battery on and it fired up straight away, oil light went off immediately, no smoke, no knocks, ran it up to temperature, everything engine wise looks ok. Engaged gear and moved back and forwards a couple of inchs, applied brakes, still working. Couldn't move it any farther than that as its on my transporter

The corrosion on the arch's has advanced a little, but not to bad. The bonnet has acquired a small dent, don't how that happened. The tyre with the nail in is now beyond repair, didn't have time to get the spare out for a look, as the boot is full of my junk. I'll check that this week.

Forgot to mention its fitted with a Sony radio, cassette and 10 cd player.

Will post some pics later, if I can find my phone lead.

I suppose they might be popular in Asia/Africa, reliable and easy to fix. Just typed the reg into Auto Breaker, which uses  EMR at Darlaston.

Not only that but they're economical and handle very sweetly too, a bit like a Jap Golf but 10x better. Should be boughted by Dollywobbler for his Retro-Nippon read.
