The Old Bloke Next Door Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Up-date on the general condition of this tomorrow. It may be capable of driving away to a pre-booked Mot, but a trailer/transporter collection would be more sensible. http://autoshite.com/topic/18641-mitsubishi-carisma-16-glx-16-valve-1997/ £60, collected from WS12 Hednesford, Staffs. Price will reduce by £6 per week until its gone. mrbenn 1
mrbenn Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 We had a Carisma for 80k miles and the only thing it ever needed was a clutch slave cylinder which was two bolts and 10 mins to fit and bleed. Genuinely reliable, easy to live with cars. forddeliveryboy, Lacquer Peel, The Old Bloke Next Door and 1 other 4
The Old Bloke Next Door Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Been at least 6 months since I last ran the engine. Put a battery on and it fired up straight away, oil light went off immediately, no smoke, no knocks, ran it up to temperature, everything engine wise looks ok. Engaged gear and moved back and forwards a couple of inchs, applied brakes, still working. Couldn't move it any farther than that as its on my transporter The corrosion on the arch's has advanced a little, but not to bad. The bonnet has acquired a small dent, don't how that happened. The tyre with the nail in is now beyond repair, didn't have time to get the spare out for a look, as the boot is full of my junk. I'll check that this week. Forgot to mention its fitted with a Sony radio, cassette and 10 cd player. Will post some pics later, if I can find my phone lead. eddyramrod 1

Genuinely reliable, easy to live with cars. Not only that but they're economical and handle very sweetly too, a bit like a Jap Golf but 10x better. Should be boughted by Dollywobbler for his Retro-Nippon read.
