Car Night at Jacks Hill Cafe

Another day, another show for the Maxi, and it's now almost done its previous annual mileage in less than a fortnight! On the second Friday of the summer months Jacks Hill Cafe, an old-school transport caff on the A5 near Towcester, holds an informal car night so we decided to trundle over to the last one of this year. A small but interesting collection of visitors including a good number of Yank Tanks.

The Chevy Impala is great in the sand blown condition. The beetle looks lovely too.

 

Didn't Noel Edmonds have something to do with g wizzes? I can see why they're dumped- used to see one about when I lived in sunninghill. I think walking ( and certainly cycling ) would be the better alternative.

Nice reportage there!   Assume that Wyvern has finally changed hands, it was up for a not unremarkable sum of money recently.   Worth every penny in my opinion, it is a prime example - hope the new owner, if there is one, resists the temptation to tinker.    I don't think its been that far "north" in a long time!
