Corrrrr, what a motah! As a child of the '70s this was clearly the best thing since wagon wheels. Fast, futuristic, a schoolboy snigger from the Wankel engine and it's as orange as can be. Probably one of my dream cars, because back then there was no Athena selling airbrushed posters of F40s.

 

While I was in France last year I picked up a magazine with a feature on the Merc, and I include it here for your delectation.

I think so, but it might have been in the later C111
