danthecapriman Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Nice! Fucking ugly, but nice! The Bobcat was the Mercury version of the infamous Ford Pinto compact car. They are the same car really but the Mercury Bobcat was a slightly more upmarket version of the Ford. I think they're fairly rare too. Magnificent Rustbucket 1
Sheefag Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 I've never seen one before, looked like a daily driver too.
saucedoctor Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I read that as "infamous Ford Pinto impact car". danthecapriman 1
danthecapriman Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I've never seen one before, looked like a daily driver too.I've never seen the Mercury version in the metal before either. I've seen a Ford though over here too.I don't think they were great sellers, especially after the unfortunate lawsuits and fire incidents relating to the base car! Plus, as a so called compact car they were vastly outsold and outclassed by the compact Jap imports at the time.Wouldn't stop me though, I'd happily have one.
danthecapriman Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I read that as "infamous Ford Pinto impact car".That's also true!
