Conveyance for £300: How fupping difficult can it be!?!?

I like that 😎

The Megan seller has resurfaced today, was on holiday apparently.

Collection thread to follow on Monday evening.

Nope, they have disappeared again! I said that I could still do the sellers original suggested date of tonight as I had managed to arrange insurance. 2 texts, an eBay message and a voicemail have so far elicited no reply. Now I have no idea if today is ok, if tomorrow is still ok, who knows.

I give up.

Fuck sake.

Just bloody turn up.

If you have the address that is...

I have their address, phone numbers, everything and I thought about that but if they aren't in then I stand to lose:

-Days insurance cover at £30

- £19 train ticket and fiver bus ticket

-Although not far away its still quite a journey in public transport.

Seller has finally responded to my eBay message saying it would be better using the number on the eBay advert. However they had already provided a telephone number in their last eBay message which I had been using today. Turns out it is a completely different number.

I then sent another message to the 'right' number, quoting the 'wrong' number and saying it would be Wednesday now.

Tomorrow is no longer any good as my work has moved offices with effect from tomorrow so a hellish day will ensue with no equipment available/working.

Message was sent 30 minutes ago and I sort of reasonably expected him to be on it with a reply straight away.

I don't really want this car any more, too much hassle - how can I bail from this winning bid on eBay??

Posted

Is there not a cancel transaction thing on there or is it too late for that.

God knows otherwise mate. I think the only way you can bail is if the car is not as described. I could be wrong though :(

Posted

It's too late for that as the auction has ended.

What a right old war this has turned out to be.

You could just go silent on him I suppose and take the neg feedback.

They can't neg you, I think you can open a case as "Seller unresponsive" and hopefully get it cancelled.

If they don't respond within a few days that will be that.

If they do respond just say you were in a rush for a car and already bought another or something.

There is little to no incentive to actually complete transactions on ebay anymore.
