Unfortunately ken is unavailable to meet today to collect the a4 and I'm struggling with transport tomorrow. Just looked on the trainline website and its high on 60 quid one way. Can any shiters advise best course of action? Thanks

Trainline may not always be the best option.  My neighbour ( a train guard), upon hearing how much I spent collecting my Mercury, suggested walking up to the station booking office and asking the human behind the glass.  Apparently they can still do better, sometimes at least.  Worth a try?

Just googled Derby to Edmonton green and bought up train line only.

Best I could do online for tomorrow via NRE was just over 58 quid

Cheapest rail i can find is £36.30

Use megabus rail from Derby to St Pancras 1201/1331 then St Pancras to Edmonton green 1400/1440

Megabus part is £29 and the other is 7.30.

I think the Trainline act as brokers whereas National Rail is 'straight from the horse's mouth' as it were.
