I had a C reg. Passat Turbo diesel estate for a while, it was in JRG ,with a blue tweedy interior I don't recall any problems with it at all. It was reliable and economical, so I sold it and bought a Lancia Gamma Berlina automatic instead

That’s a good colour match for the bonnet, where did you get the wrap done?

Its a brilliant wrap, it turned it from a Passat into a Citroen.
