Goes well too got 200TDi in it from a Disco.

200tdi?GIT!A land rover that can actually attain the national speed limit for such a paltry amount is indeed a bargain. I want another Land Rover in my life, just got to find a justification to NEED one. Hard at the minute as all my work seems to necessitate 3 hrs travel a day, and I really don't want to do that in any LR...

That looks to be in excellent condition - much better than my old crate of a CSW. Is the rear cross member still in good nick?

Posted

Aye, thats OK it seen quite a lot of waxoyl over the years, which has held it together, and bulkhead is OK to for at least another couple of years.

Crikey! Next you'll be telling me that the gearbox input shaft doesn't clonk either. (Mine doesn't - it needed a recon gearbox at 88k  )

Nice one, I just know I will end up with a landy at some stage. I misread the title BTW, thought it was New York shite and was expecting a yank!

Excellent. Ain't a proper Landie unless it's got sliding windows!

But they have to be badly scratched !

That looks amazingly tidy inside!Thumbs down for the chequerplate look, but still a bargain if it's not rusty underneath

Just makes me think of this type of 'enthusiast':

Yes but do you slip off?

No, but if I was clumsy enough to slip I'd probably slip on chequerplate too.

Yes thanks Fred, think I've got it now....Must have asked that before I realised there was another page to the thread going into further detail!

The clear indicator look is suggesting that's quite a recent 110! How old is it?

Chequerplate

LOL!!!

1983.

Or it's been made to look that way. Are you going by the A reg in the windscreen? (assuming it's not personalised)

Did this have an MoT? if so £750 is the bargain of the year! - even if it hasn't its still a good buy.

I would not have put chequer plate on it myself, and can't make my mind up about the clear lenses, but fro 750 and it not rusty underneath the opportunity was to good miss I thought as fits our requirements to a T.It is an a 84/A reg, the plates are of it because the previous owner had some trouble when some NEFARIOUS BASTARD nicked them and the duly slapped on another one, and nicked £70 worth if diesel!
